Guide to Mandatory Suicide Mandatory suicide is a mode for Damage Incorporated in which you attempt to kill as many enemies as you can. A certain amount of time after you kill an enemy it will automatically respawn, creating an unlimited amount of enemies that ultimately leads to your demise. Each enemy that you or one of your marines kill, you gain a point towards your score. The objective of mandatory suicide is to get the best score you can before you and your men die. How to begin a Mandatory Suicide game When you click on the pop up menu, you will notice that you have the multiplayer maps to choose from. You do not want to just send your men off on seek and destroy. This mode in the game proves without a doubt how necessary it is to plan your attack carefully. You don't even want to do this in the map Pain and Hate, your marines will probably burn out between 25 and 30 kills. Something else you do not want to do is cheat, if you type in a cheat code your score will have a penalty of 50 points. On any map, very hard to make up. On each map, I have noticed these principles lead to more success. Position your troops and yourself in a way that you aren't the hunters. You do a much better job if your the prey with a great defense. If there is a wide enough point on the map, put your troops in a line side by side. That way, when an enemy approaches you, all four of your marines will be firing at it, instead of say one or two marines that are supposed to guard that point on the map. One of the more challenging parts of Mandatory suicide is that you start only with a grenade and your knife. Sometimes when you start a weapon is lying on the ground close by. Sometimes not. In those cases, look for an enemy that is alone. Instead of sending a marine after him so you can pick up the weapon he dies, you might want to think about getting a running start with your knife and running him through before he has a chance to react. I wouldn't reccomend this against a shock trooper for example, one good knife stab and the grenade still wouldn't do the trick. In those cases you have to have your marines take him on for you. The enemy will probably not approach you from one direction, they can appear behind you, to the side, in front, whatever. With this knowledge, as soon as you find a good spot to hold your ground you should figure out how to position your troops in a way to deal with that. This one might take some experience with the map, since you don't know on your first time where they are going to come from. These rules should help you on any of the maps in the game. Below you can download two recordings to two different maps. In those recordings, I demonstrate the rules and you will be able to see how much more efficient everything works when you place things properly. |
